Hello fellow Pinball Hero Flippers!

Today's build adds an entirely new way to spice up your run adding challenge mods to the game. We also have a decent amount of additional fresh loot, UI polish, bug fixes, items, and other iterations like hero action previews that play in the widescreen mode for hero selection. 

TDLR: 

  • NEW Challenge System. Bolt optional risk-vs-reward mutators onto your run.
  • Hero Preview Videos. Watch each hero do their thing before you lock-in.
  • Cinematic Transitions & Impact FX . Juicier room fades and hit flashes.
  • +6 new relics & consumables, balance pass on legendaries.
  • Lots of QoL, audio candy, and bug squashing.

Challenges

Activate up to 12 (to be refined later) gameplay mods from the hero select menu. Drag a chip into a socket to crank difficulty for bonus rewards. Challenges are applied at run start and removed at the end of your current run. 

Content & Balance

Boon of Vitality, Life Vine, Crystal Carver, Goblin Pick, Necronomicon, Weeping Chalice. Each is themed around life-crystal synergies and essence conversion. This opens up fresh build paths focused on healing loops or glass-cannon magic.

Evasive Sash: stackable evade tokens every 10th crit. Gives crit builds a defensive twist.

Other changes:  Shadow & Claw emblems re-worked, ~20 items retuned. Narrows power-spikes and keeps mid-game interesting.

The update also includes many small bug fixes and stability improvements, although there are still more in the task list that we're working on.

I just discovered a bug in The Eleventh Hour mod chip, so probably best to not apply that one for now. I will fix tomorrow and upload a hotfix as soon as possible!
